We the CE Parent Carer Forum, along with the Centre for Autism, Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Intellectual Disability (CANDDID - part of the NHS), and Cheshire East Council are conducting some research into accessing short breaks for families across Cheshire East. We would be grateful if you can take 5 minutes to complete our survey into your experiences whether you access short break provider services, or not.
Short breaks refer to community activities that provide positive experiences for children with SEND and a break in caring for their families. They include a wide range of activities such as sporting activities, arts and craft clubs and any other community activity that children with SEND can access.
Some short break activities are funded by the local authority.
We would like to find out more about the experiences of children and families who access or would like to access these activities.
This will help us understand what would make it easier to access them, the range of activities available, and whether all children with SEND can access community activities.
