Cheshire East Council Inclusion Strategy Update

Cheshire East Council Inclusion Strategy Update

Inclusion Strategy Update

Cheshire East Council recently launched their new Inclusion Strategy at an event at Tatton Park which several of our parent carer representatives attended.

The shared vision for inclusion is:

“Everyone supporting the learning, wellbeing and safety needs of all our children so that they belong, achieve and thrive.”

One area that was clear was a priority was ‘enhancing the knowledge and skills of our education community, parents and partner agencies around the graduated approach - with a particular emphasis on Ordinarily Available and Inclusive Provision (OAIP).

Cheshire East Council will be hosting a series of training sessions to help deliver on this priority, these sessions will be led by Gary Aubin, a nationally recognised expert in inclusive provision. The sessions are open to schools, parents and wider partner agencies.
